Knowledge and Wisdom Our Kupuna Hawaii are the ones who posses the most knowledge about the Hawaiian Culture. It is through them that our language and practices have survived until this day.
It is important that as young kanaka maoli that we take the time to sit down and spend time with our Kupuna. It should not be the Kuleana of our Kupuna to share their knowledge, but instead our Kuleana to ask our Kupuna to learn about our Culture. If we younger generations of the Hawaiian Culture do not make it a point to learn about our history, ways, and practices the Culture will be loss in its entirety. |
